To find KL, we will use the trigonometric ratio

But Before then let's find angle m

40 + 90 + K = 180 ( sum of angle in a triangle

130 +

subtract 130 from both-side of the equation

Using the trig. rattio

sin θ = opposite /hypotenuse

\sin 40=(KL)/(8)

cross-multiply

KL = 8 sin 40

KL ≈ 5.1

Usin trig. ratio

To find ML

\cos \theta=\frac{adjacent}{\text{hypotenuse}}

\cos 40=(ML)/(8)

cross-multiply

ML = 8 cos 40

ML ≈6.1
