The elements which have a lower number of atoms per gram and therefore, the absorbance of heat is not much, therefore, they have low specific heat values. These elements are mostly the higher elements. Th more are the numbers of the atoms present in them, more is the energy absorbed by them, and higher is the specific heat energy.

Answer: Option (d) is the correct answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Specific heat is defined as the amount of heat necessary for per unit mass to raise the temperature by one degree Celsius.

The formula to calculate specific heat is as follows.

Q = m C \Delta T

where, Q = heat added

m = mass of substance

C = specific heat

\Delta T = change in temperature

Therefore, we can conclude that elements with low specific heat values have low number of atoms per unit gram.
