- you multiply by the amplitude
- you subtract the phase shift from the sine argument
- you add the vertical shift
So, the regular y=sin(x) becomes:
y = 8.5sin(x-π/2)+12
90° angle is π/2 because a full circle of 360° maps to 2π.
