For the graph x = 1 find the slope of a line that is perpendicular to it and the slope of a line parallel to it. Explain your answer with two or more sentences.

x=1 would be a vertical line, with an undefined slope. So a line perpendicular to it, or the opposite of it, would be a horizontal line with a slope of 0. A line parallel to it would be the exact same, an undefined slope.

First, x=1 is a vertical line. A line that is perpendicular would be horizontal so it would have a slope of 0. A line parallel to it would be vertical too so it would have and infinite gradient.
