Norman would like to purchase a new bicycle. He looks at bicycles that are priced at $249, $449, $269, $259, and $329. What is the mean, or average, price of these bicycles?

To find the mean/average of a set of numbers, add them all together then divide by the number of numbers.

249 + 449 + 269 + 259 + 329 = 1555
1555/5 = 311

The answer is $311

Hope this helped! If you have anymore questions or don't understand, please comment or DM me. :)

Answer: Average price of these bicycles is $311.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Prices of bicycles are as follows:

$249, $449, $269, $259, and $329.

We need to find the "Average "

As we know the formula for "Average ":

Average=\frac{\text{ Sum of observation}}{\text{ Number of observation}}\\\\Average=(249+449+269+259+329)/(5)\\\\Average=(1555)/(5)\\\\Average=311

Hence, Average price of these bicycles is $311.
