35(x-1)

5(5x-8)

the denominator cannot be zero so
5x-8 = 0
x = 8/5 = 1.6

excluded value is x = 1.6

Simply solve for 25x - 40 = 0. This value will not work because the denominator will be equal to zero.
25x - 40 = 0
25x = 40
x = 1.6
