Jupiter's ring system has three main components: a pair of very faint outer rings called the gossamer rings; a wide, flat main ring; and a thick inner ring called the halo.

The four main components of Jupiter Rings include –

a) Halo Ring – It is the closest ring and has a radius ranging from 92000 Km to 122,500 Km. It is the inner cloudy ring with a total width of 12,500 Km

b) Main Ring – The main ring has a width of 7000 Km and includes the orbit of moon Adrastea and Metis. It is made up of dust.

c) Amalthea gossamer ring – It is the outer ring opposite to the halo ring and extends beyond the orbit of moon Amalthea

d) Thebe gossamer ring – It is the faintest ring of Jupiter
