Read this excerpt from Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

One night, after what felt like a googolplex inventions, I went to Dad’s closet. We used to Greco-Roman wrestle on the floor in there, and tell hilarious jokes, and once we hung a pendulum from the ceiling and put a circle of dominoes on the floor to prove that the earth rotated.

How does the narration affect Oskar’s credibility in this excerpt?

A: His Greek and Roman references emphasize his intelligence.
B: His explanation of a pendulum emphasizes his maturity.
C: His fond recollections emphasize his genuine sincerity.
D: His description of his dad emphasizes his lack of stability.

I believe the answer is C because he emphasizes what happened in his past with his dad. Hope this helps you.

C: His fond recollections emphasize his genuine sincerity.

In the excerpt the narrator remembers different things that they used to do in his dad's closet. He talks about how they'd wrestle, tell jokes, and hung a pendulum. The other options are easily eliminated. A is wrong because using the adjective Greco-Roman is not enough of a reference to indicate someone is intellingent. B is wrong because it hanging a pendulum does not indicate maturity. Option D is wrong because he doesn't describe his dad at all, just things they used to do in his dad's closet.
