Vietnam was technically not a war because Congress did not declare war on Vietnam. We did declare war on the axis powers during WW2. Technology advanced tremendously during Vietnam I've heard rumors that some soldiers in Vietnam still used the M-1 Grand but as the war continued they moved to the M-14 which was kinda of a step up. but then They moved to the M-16 which was amazing at the time.
