D. Aristotle lived before the time of Christ, so his ideas are too ancient to be valuable to medieval philosophers. Aristotle and Aquina shared many common philosophical ideas, yet they diverged on the subject of God. Although Aristotle believed in God, he did not believe that he would meet his maker at the end of his journey, nor did he believe that God was compassionate or gave us the ability to reason on moral grounds. Aquina believed in God as the sole Creator of the Universe, and his ideals were more suited to Christianity and the era in which he lived.
