Which twentieth-century president am I?

I entered office in the midst of the worst economic depression this country has seen. I had a plan though, a New Deal, in which the nations wealth was distributed broadly to those in need. I passed as much legislation as possible, because any legislation was better than none in those desperate times. It was also important to me during those times to ease the minds of the people and help them to remain optimistic, so I often gave "fireside chats" to reach the citize

Franklin D. Roosevelt. He entered office in 1933, and he also had a plan called the New Deal, and he did give fireside chats. So I would most certainly say that it was him.
