The following are four ways in which Hitler broke the Treaty of Versailles:

- Invaded Austria: On March 12th, 1938, Nazi Germany annexed Austria to its territory as part of Hitler's campaign of expanding German power throughout Europe.
- Invaded Czechoslovakia: In a similar manner than with the Austrian case, German forces annexed the border region of Czechoslovakia to Germany in order to gain more territory and therefore power.
- Invaded Poland: On September 1st, 1939 Hitler invaded Poland and that stated officially the beginning of the World War II, as after the invasion France and Britain formally declared war on Germany. All of these mentioned invasions and annexations were a direct violation of the treaty of Versailles that stated that Germany had to make territorial concessions, and in now way be involved in any sort of international conflict.
