First of all, you can divide this shape to two different "easy" shapes.
One is rectangular, the other is triangle.

Area of the rectangular is: a*b
Area = a * b = 13 * 7 = 91
cm^(2)

Area of the triangle is: 1/2*a *h
h of the triangle is 4 (as shown on the picture), so you've got:
Area = 1/2*4*13 = 26
cm^(2)

Now you have to add this two areas to make one whole shape:
Area of the shape is: area of rectangular + area of triangle
Area of the shape is: 91 + 26 = 117
cm^(2)
