Cone Volume = PI * radius^2 * height / 3

radius^2 = 3 * Cone Volume / PI * height

radius^2 = 3 * 150 / PI * 8

radius^2 = 17.9049310978

radius = 4.2314218766

diameter = 8.4628437532 m

Answer:

Diameter = 8.46 m.

Explanation:

Given : cone with height 8 m and volume 150m³.

To find : What is the diameter of a cone .

Solution : We have height of cone = 8 m

Volume of cone = 150 m³.

Volume of cone = pi * r² *
(h)/(3).

Where , r= radius , h = height.

Plugging the values of h and volume

150 = 3.14 * r² *
(8)/(3).

On multiplying by 3 both side

450 = 3.14 * r² * 8

450 = 25 .12 * r²

On dividing by 25.12 both side

(450)/(25.12) = r²

17.91 = r²

Taking square root both side

r = 4.232

Diameter = 2 * radius.

Diameter = 2* 4.23

Therefore, Diameter = 8.46 m.
