1. A 400 g toy car moving at 2 m/s collides and hooks up with 700 g toy car at rest and they move off together. What is their final velocity?

2. A car travels 15 km north, 10 km east, 20 km south, then 10 km west.
A. Draw a diagram
B. What is the distance it travels?
C. What is ist displacement?

1. 400(2) = 700(v)
800 = 700v
v = 1.14 m/s

2.
A: Can't draw diagram
B: Distance = 15 + 10 + 20 + 10 = 55 km
C: Displacement is 5 km south. Since the east and west cancel each other out and there is 5 more km south then north.
