The answer is 1 1/3. If you multiply the two numerators, you 12. Multiply the two denominators, you get 9. So now you have 12/9. Then you divide 12 and 9 and you get the answer

4 × 3 = 12
9 × 1 = 9
12/9 as a mixed number - 1 3/9
1 3/9 simplified - 1 1/3
1 1/3 is your answer.
