Eating slowly is important to healthy eating and weight management because it allows your body to become full, but if you were to eat fast, your body doesn't have time to digest the food you eat.  This makes you feel like you are still hungry when you really aren't and so this could make you eat to much food and you could gain weight.  Hope this helps :)
