9 Muffins are left. The total number sold is 25 + 36 = 61 Muffins and then you subtract the number sold by the total, so 70 - 61 = 9 Muffins.

Well, first you add 25 and 36 to get 61. Then you subtract 61 from 70. You get 9. Also, thanks for selling me the muffins, they were tasty :D
