Maneesh at 1 piece of his sandwich. Emily ate two, but the amount Maneesh and Emily ate are still the same. 2/8 is equivalent to 1/4.

Emily's fraction- 2/8 which simplifies to 1/4
so maneesh ate 1/4 of his sandwich
