False. This is especially evident in terms of architecture (pillars that look like the front of the Parthenon, the use of white in minimalism [though the Greeks were very colorful in sculpture/architecture, we are more inspired by what the marble looks like after the color decayed]). If we consider poetry and story as art, then the stories of gods and heroes have had an enormous impact on Western art themselves, with interpretations of the stories/poems being seen in visual art [painting, sculpture, etc], story, dance, and acting entertainment.
