What is infinity? Positive? Negative?

Please explain why you chose your answer.

This is not my homework, I am just curious about what other people think.

I think infinity is both because infinity extends in both ways, Positive and negative.

Positive infinity is a symbol used to designate the limit of a sequence or function that eventually exceeds any prescribed bound. Negative infinity does the same thing for sequences that eventually fall below any prescribed bound.
