6 years old:6 books
7 years old: 12 books
8 years old: 24 books
9 years old: 48 books
10 years old: 96 books
6+12+24+48+96=186 books. As a result, he reads total 186 books. Hope it help!

Age 6: 6 books
Age 7: 12 books
Age 8: 24 books
Age 9: 48 books
Age 10: 96 books

6 + 12 + 24 + 48 + 96 = 186 books
