Many of the challenges Odysseus faces as he travels home are female. He is held by a goddess and an enchantress and soon he will face two female monsters. What type of statement do you think is being made through these female obstacles and trials? How are females characterized in the story so far? Give the character traits and explain your answer. They are picky, they only like the best things of all. The are very beautiful though. Also, some of them have farms and tend to it daily. They are also sweet though, they can be rude at the same time. They care about Odysseus though, and are willing to help him.
