You would take 400×1.5 since 150% as a decimal is 1.5 therefore your answer would be 600 rice weevils.

Answer with explanation:

Initial Population of Rice weevil in an Insect Study = 400

Rate at which population of Rice weevil is growing =150 %

Growth formula is Given by

=I_(0)* [1+(R)/(100)]^n\\\\ \text{where }I_(0)=\text{Initial Population}

R=Rate Constant

n=Duration or time Period

⇒Population After a week is given by,if we take a week as,n=1.

=400* [1+(150)/(100)]^1\\\\=400 * 1.5\\\\=600
