1. n(event)=n("student earning A")=14

2. n(sample space)=n(all students involved in this "experiment")=n(S)=24

3. p("student earning A")=n("student earning A")/n(S)=14/24=7/12

4. Remark: p(event)=n(event)/n(sample space)
