we have

Az+17=-4z-b

Adds the term
4z both sides

Az+17+4z=-4z-b+4z

Az+17+4z=-b

Subtract the term
17 both sides

Az+17+4z-17=-b-17

Az+4z=-b-17

z(A+4)=-(b+17)

Divide both sides by
(A+4)

z=-(b+17)/(A+4)

therefore

the answer is

z=-(b+17)/(A+4)
