In geometry, the lines are parallel when their slopes are equal. The slopes can be calculated through the equation,
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
Substituting,
m = (1 - 3)/(1 --4) = -2/5
m = (1 --5)/(1--16) = 6/17
which are not the same. The answer is no.
