The old rectangle will have a lot size of Area = 120 feet * 80 feet.
Old area = 9600 feet²
The new rectangle will have a lot size of Area =100 feet * 60feet
New area = 6000 feet².
Therefore smaller area is = 9600 - 6000 = 3600 feet²

Solving for the number of dogs, we have:
12, 500 square feet / 50 dogs = 250 ft²/dog
6000 / 250 = 24 dogs
