x-intercept: Point where the line cross the x-axis (when the y-value is 0)
To find the x-intercept of a line (y=mx+b) substitute the y in the equation by 0 and solve for x, the x-intercept is a point (x,0)
y-intercept: Point where the line cross the y-axis (when the x-value is 0)
To find the y-intercept in a line if the equation of the line is written in the form y=mx+b the y-intercept is (0,b).
If the equation is written in other form substitute the x by 0 and solve y, the y-intercept is a point (0,y)
