we have the function

y=(x^2+7x+10)/(x+3)

Remember that

The zeros of the function, are the values of x when the value of y=0

so

For y=0

x^2+7x+10=0

Solve the quadratic equation

we have that

x^2+7x+10=(x+5)(x+2)

therefore

the zeros of the function are

(-5,0) and (-2,0)
