Definition: This is the power to which a number is raised, or the number of times it is multiplied by itself.

Example: 5 in the expression 25

It would be squared.

For example, if you were to have the number 4, and you square it, it means you multiply it by itself. 4 x 4 = 16. Same thing with 5. If you multiply 5 x 5, it gives you 25, and that's called squaring.

It would be 5 to the 2 power because 5 multiplied by a second 5 equalas 25.
