3x^2 = -9
Send -9 on the other side
3x^2 = 9
Divide by 3
x^2 = 3
x = +- /3
X = plus or minus square root 3

Add 9 to both sides.
3x^2=9
Divide both sides of the equation by 3.
x^2=3
Take the square root of both sides.
x=sqr of 3
