From first function we have:


3x - 4y = - 4 \\ 4y = 3x + 4

And from the second one:


y = 2x - 4 \\ 4y = 8x - 16

Substitute them:


4y = 3x + 4 \\ 4y = 8x - 16 \\ \\ 0 = - 5x + 20 \\ x = 4 \\ y = 4
