given the polynomial,

35y^5 + 5y^4 + 15^3

to get the polynomial,

you find the common factor and the variable the lowest power

so having,

35 5 15

the lcommon factor is 5

the variable with the lowest power is y^3

so the highest common factor is,

= 5y^3
