Is 26 a perfect square? Explain.

A perfect square is always a number that when multiplied by a number and itself will equal the said number. Sorry if that was confusing, here's an example. 16 is a perfect square, because 4 times itself (4*4) is equal to 16.

26 is not a perfect square because there are no numbers times themselves that can equal it.

It's not a perfect square.
No number times itself equals 26, which are the rules of perfect squares.

Such as: 5 times 5 equals 25. 25 is a perfect sqaure.
