How do rivers change as they leave their source and enter their course?

they gradually warm up and begin to support more life

When a river start its normally at a glacier and as it goes down its course the water temp tends to rice, you see more aquatic life and it either gets more or less water flowing in to it like other water sources go in to it or it brakes off in two directions
