What is parliament?

A parliament is a group of people who represent the highest legislative authority of a country. They are usually chosen using a public election and it's their job to decide what will become a law and what will not become a law. They can also change old laws and can create a new constitution or they can impeach a president or hold hearings for people depending on the country.
