A polynomial function whose zeros are given :

x1 = -4

x2= 0

x3 = 5

we are told that it is a 3rd degree polynomial ;

so:

(x-x1)(x-x2)9x-x3)

= (x-(-4)) ( x -0) (x -5)

=(x+4) (x)(x-5)

= x(x+4)(x-5)

=x ( x^2 -x - 20)

= x^3 -x^2 -20x
