When you change fractions and mixed numbers into decimals, why is the denominator always 10, or 100

So when you turn it into a decimal it has a correct place value say if you have 0.70 as a fraction it would be 70/100 because the fraction is telling you it's hundredths one tip is look at the decimal pretend it's always a 1 then in front of the decimal is all zeros and that is your denominator.
