First you find the surface area for each face

The sides is 8*6

The front and back is 8*9

The top and bottom is 6*9

You then double each number of each face since there is 2 sides of each

8*6=48 * 2 = 96

8*9=72 * 2 = 144

6*9=54 * 2 = 108

Then you all them all together

96 + 144 + 108 = 348
