so hmmm notice below the picture

those there are the 45-45-90 triangle and 30-60-90 triangle rules

notice the ratio, so, we use the ratios to get the values, since the trapezoid has a 30-60-90 triangle on the left-hand-side and a 45-45-90 one on the right-hand-side

as far as the area of a trapezoid
\bf \textit{area of a trapezoid}\\\\ A=\cfrac{h}{2}(a+b)\qquad \begin{cases} h=height\\ a,b=\textit{parallel sides, or bases} \end{cases}
