When Romeo gave his dissent to fight with Tybalt, Mercutio came forward to fight with him. Romeo tried very hard to restore peace among the two but he failed. Tybalt killed Mercutio thereby leaving everyone in shock. After killing Mercutio, Tybalt returned in the scene symbolizing his anger towards the Montagues and to kill all of them.
