State the formula for the volume of a cylinder


V=\text{ }\pi r^2h

Where,


\text{radius(r) =}(diameter)/(2)=(3.2)/(2)=1.6in
\text{Height(h)}=5.4in

Step 2

Find the volume after substitution of values


\begin{gathered} V=\text{ 3.141592654}*1.6^2*5.4 \\ \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} V=43.42937684in \\ V\approx43.43in \end{gathered}

Hence, the volume of the can approximately to 2 decimal places = 43.43 in
