The end of the fallopian tube that becomes active during ovulation is called the FIMBRIAE. This part of the female reproductive system is activated by the sex hormone when ovulation is about to occur. During the ovulation period these fimbriae swells with blood and hits the ovary with a gentle and sweeping motion.
