It is a special table where each data value is split into a stem (the first digit or digits) and a leaf (usually the last digit).

So, in the given plot

the first stem 2 has leafs = 6,7,7

So, the numbers will be 26,27,27

So, in this way we can write the stem leaf plot data in normal data form

Now to calculate range

Range = Highest number - lowest number

The first stem 2 and its first leaf 6 . So,number = 26 is the lowest number

The third stem 4 and its last leaf 5 . So, number = 45 is the highest number

Thus Range = 45-26=19

Hence the range of data is 19
