How do you solve a a quadratic equation that equals something other than 0?

How do you solve a a quadratic equation that equals something other than 0?-example-1

I thought you made it zero...

Like for this one, adding 10 on both sides.

-13 would become -3 and then you would use the Quadratic formula.

Though I may be wrong
