when does cell division occur?

when cells express the same gene.

when cells do not express genes.

when cells express different genes.

when cells express all genes.

From what we know about cells, we can conclude that genes need to express something (eliminating B), but they cannot express everything (eliminating D). I also don't think that the gene expression changes during cell division, although I could be wrong on that one.
