Given the equation :


-5x+6=x+12

Solve for x , combine the like terms


\begin{gathered} -5x-x=12-6 \\ -6x=6 \\ \\ \end{gathered}

Divide both sides by -6


\begin{gathered} (-6x)/(-6)=(6)/(-6) \\ \\ x=-1 \end{gathered}
