I paced around my room, trying to organize the scrambled words in my brain. I had to convince my parents to let me go to camp, but I was still working out my speech.

A few minutes later I gathered up the courage to ask. I had my whole speech planned out. I walked into the living room. My dad was working on the computer, and my mom was watching her favorite show. I was so reluctant, I didn't want to disturb them, but I blurted out, "Mom, dad, can we talk?". I decided that would be the best place to start.
"Sure sweetie, what is it?", she asked, pausing her show. My dad got off the computer and sat down next to my mom, motioning for me to sit in the chair across from them. Great, they probably think this is something serious..
I sat down, then opened my mouth to speak, but I forgot my whole speech. The word 'no' kept ringing in my head.
"I wanna go to camp." Well, that's not how I planned to start, but whatever..
"What kind of camp?" My dad asked.
Great, I wasn't gonna say until we got to the end, after they had already said yes, but too late now...
"Er....acting camp.." My family name has very high integrity, so everyone expects me to be a child genius, but I really just wanna act.
My mom coughed. "Um, acting camp? Don't do a science camp or something?" Suddenly I felt so small compared to my enormous parents. My dad's an IT guy, he's pretty much the new Bill Gates. My mom's a scientist, she's working on some many new inventions right now, it's impossible to count. So of course they're gonna want me to do their jobs.
"No, I really want to act.." I said, afraid of the response. I saw my dad flinch.
"Are you sure about that son?"
"Yes, I'm positive." I said. After a few minutes of my parents trying to change my mind, (I was very persistent) my parents glanced at each other. I had an awful feeling in my stomach, I knew what was coming..
"You can try it out. But please consider science also!" My mom said. I almost jumped up with excitement.
"And computer engineering!!" My dad added. "Guys, I'm only 13, I'm not thinking about careers yet!". I laughed, hugged them, thanked them, and went back to my room to squeal with excitement.

Hope this helped! If you have any more questions or don't understand, please comment or DM me. :)

Once there lived a very *reluctant* man. Nobody ever liked him he always carried two things with him to that were odd. An *enormous* bag and a parrot. He tried to *convince* people to talk to him so that he can show them he wasn't that reluctant. One year later someone came and started talking to him. The lady who was talking to him noticed he has changed a lot since a year before. This time he was *integrity*, he offered help, food, and shelter. The lady was done tlaking and ran across the town saying, "The man has changed go talk to him!" So they were rushing down tge town and taljed to him. They noticed how *persistent* he was for all that time he wanted to talk to them.

(THE END)
