The number of N bacteria in a culture can be modeled through the continuous growth model. If the there were 100 bacteria initially and the value for k is 0.5, what will the population of the bacteria be in 10 hours, where t is the number of hours?

Answer: 14841

Explanation:

The contimous growth model with growth rate 'k' in t hours is given by :-

P(t)=Ne^(kt), where N is the initial population.

Given : Initial population of toads=100

Growth rate k = 0.5

The population of toads after 10 hours is given by :-

P(10)=100e^(0.5*10)\\\\=100e^(5)\\\\=14841.3159103\approx14841

Hence, the population of the bacteria be in 10 hours = 14841
